This picture has been taken at November 24th just after sunset when the moon was at 6% luminance. It shows the volcano Teide 3718m on Tenerife seen from the road TF-21 at kilometer 28. After parking my car along-side the road and I hiked up the slope to wait for the sunset. I had no idea that the moon would be in this perfect aligning with the mountain therefore I was very happy with my shot.

This shot shows one of the most incredible sunsets I've ever witnessed at the west shore of Tenerife in Palm-Mar. The sky was painted in red for almost an hour. Despite the great outcome of the photo the conditions where pretty difficult. The wind was blowing like hell and the splashing water forced me to clean the lens almost every minute.

The first impression of a good photo opportunity is sometimes very misleading. This happened in this picture. You may not believe me that in my back was the village El Médano which is crowded witch tourists and located right next to the airport Tenerife Sur. When I arrived and saw the crowd I almost gave up the idea of a unique photo.
After a short hike up to Montaña Roja 173m I did see a small lake from the summit behind a sand dune, which had formed after the stormy days before. At the lake I couldn’t believe my luck. The 5cm deep area of water reflected the surrounding perfectly and the almost cloudless sky made the sunset breathtaking. Besides me there was only one person in the deserted landscape on the crest on the lookout for the perfect photo.

This photo has been taken at the north coast of Tenerife at sunset. On the picture you can see the lava rocks at the shore of Punta del Hidalgo. After a clear day on the Canary Islands clouds appeared in the evening, perfect to block the brightest part of the sun. Therefore I was able to capture the sunrays, clouds and their reflections.
