The story behind the picture: This photo has been taken on the highest mountain of Hawaii, Mauna Kea (4208m), overlooking the lava fields of the Big Island one of the world’s darkest places. At this point my camera was standing at about 3000m capturing more stars than ever. I’ve never seen the Milky Way in such a perfect alignment with the horizon. The clouds blocked most of the light pollution of the city of Hilo on the left and under the Milky Way you can see the volcanoes Mauna Loa (4169m) and on the right hand side Hualalei (2521m). In these moments I really feel like traveling through the universe. Calculate Price
