The story behind the picture: At the peak of the Perseid Meteor Shower it was time for another stargazing night in the Glarus Alps. Due to the perfect alignment at new moon the Milky Way was shining across the narrow valley. I waited until I was able to capture our galaxy without any meteors and airplanes. With the camera almost vertical mounted to the tripod the Alps framed the galactic disk. Calculate Price
