The story behind the picture: Mount Bockmattli represents with its 1932 meters in heights the border between the Cantons Glarus and Schwyz. The cliff you can see in this image is taken on the side of Schwyz where the almost vertical wall is famous for climbing. Hikers usually take the trail on the right hand side to the Bockmattlipass. In July there would be a perfect sight to the galactic core of the Milky Way, if the weather is in your favor. Our hike led us from Lake Wägitalersee to the Schwarzenegg in the foreground and finally to the top of Mount Brüschstockbügel. When the sun was setting the clouds and rocks got these lovely colors.
